Hey everyone! I was just curious if anyone else is going through this process. The nursing program I have been accepted into requires us to have health insurance, which I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND! LOL. My current situation is causing me horrible anxiety because I lost my coverage in October due to turning 26. I sent my application in for Medicaid well over a month ago for coverage for the rest of 2015 and starting 2016. I was told on Friday by the local DHS office that it will be several months before I will get coverage but it will cover from the time I applied. Its near impossible to reach anyone on the helpline that is given for the program. I am just really anxious about not being able to go into the nursing program because of it. Does anyone have any advice regarding my situation? *In hindsight, I believe I should have started the process back in the summer instead, but oh well. ** Not sure if this is where this thread belongs but I felt like it fit.
