  1. They said it's a good experience. If I do the CNA program and pass it, I could use the experience to get a CNA job. But they also told me that I don't have to volunteer. So I could just go straight to the CNA program. Also, volunteering gives me a couple of points for the nursing program because it's based of a Point System. Volunteering is part of it.
  2. Hi! I was told there is a CNA program at school. And they told me to volunteer in a hospital first then go to the program afterwards.
  3. Thank you for telling me that. I'll stick with the RN program. So in a way LVN is an accelerated program?
  4. Thank you! And I will.

Is it true that being an LVN is a lot harder than the traditional RN prgoram? So being an LVN is another way to become a nurse if I do flunked out of the Nursing program?
  6. Hi! Really? I didn't know that. I was told becoming an LVN was a lot easier cuz I think it only takes about a year or two.
  7. Hi, yes you are right I feel like I'm not ready to be in the program even though I'm still taking my Gen. Ed, classes. I feel scared, because I only have on shot in the program if I do get in. If I messed up like fail one class, I'm out of the nursing program. Also, a relative of mine was talking to me about the LVN to RN things. They've told me it's easier to finish LVN first then go to RN. Because 1. I can get a job as an LvN then after a year go back to school then continue my education. Thank you for replying and the advice.
  8. Hi! Thank you for taking your time replying. I think it's better to have experience because I'll know what I will be expecting in the Nursing program. I'll know some stuff. I think of it like getting ahead. Hopefully that make sense. I don't actually know yet. I have an appointment with my councelor rhis upcoming week. I'll ask her by then.
  9. Info: I live in California, go to Mt. Sac College. So I want to change my Major, which is Nursing to Pysch Tech or LVN. It feels like I'm not ready to go to the Nursing Program even though I'm still doing my General Education classes. Before I go to the Nursing program I want to have experience. I heard it's better to have experience before going to the program. (That is if I get accepted.) What are the advantages and disadvantages of shifting my major in Pysch Tech or LVN?(Like the advantages and disadvantages of being a Pysch Tech or LVN?) Which one out of the two have more opportunities? Thank you in advance, and sorry if my questions are confusing.

What exactly is the LVN to RN program? Do you have to be an LVN so that you can apply to the LVN to RN program? Also, is it better to be an LVN first then become an RN? Thank you in advance for the feedback's.
