  1. Sorry ok so skiddish. I feel guilty I need meds. I wish I was just normal. I feel like they are meds that if someone worked hard enough they could get off of.
  2. Should I call HR beforehand drug test? Anonymously? Or tell my name?
  3. You are right. My fear is that I will think I've gone long enough without taking them to pass. Show up, not disclose the prescriptions and pee dirty.
  4. Excuse the typos guys I'm feeding baby
  5. Is it ok to get print outs from the pharmacy instead of pulling out 4 pill bottles?
  6. Has anyone ever heard of denying emoymwnt over xanax? Oh and icing on the cake. I have a congenital problem with my knees. The groove my patella sits in is shallow ligaments are loose. I had chronic recurrjngI have chronic recurring patellar subluxation. It's congenitAl. The groove my patella sits in is shallow. Ligaments are loose. Once or twice. Year I step on my foot wrong, or slip, and my patella (right and left do it just one at a time) will dislocate and pop out laterally making me fall. It gets stuck like this. I have to straighten my leg while pushing the knee cap back into it's place. It's very disturbing to see. It's getting harder to realign it and I can hear the bone scraping bone when I do. So I took mg prescribed vicodin and prescribed soma the day it happened and again tonight. I'm not a drug abuser. But I do have the prescriptions I need if I am in pain, or anxious.guess that will Be showing up to. I've been on adderall and xanax 9 years. Since meeting my doc and getting on my regimen I became a CNA, CMA, LVN ( 2nd in my class), RN, BSN, and I'm apying for Grad school Now. I don't get impaired by xanax. Not like people think. I've never that a sentinel event and only 1 med error in 3 years I gave I ran instead of 2 modafinil Bc the stock was labeled wrong.

First question. Did you take the breathalyzer test? Or did they draw your blood? I have a DUI Also PM me or email [email protected]
  8. Are you allowed to get treatment by. Psych doctor and take meds prescribed for anxiety and depression? If yes that's what I would do asap. Don't give up. You can do this. Don't let them win.
  9. It was ten years ago. I would disclose it. I had a DWI and driving with a suspended license and they still let me into school for LVN and RN. If they deny you. Apply for another school and answer no to rehab.
  10. I've been a nurse for 7 years. I have been at my current job 3 years and love it. I have only made 1 med error in 3 years (gave 100mg of modafinil instead of 200mg.. We manually sign out our drugs and the narcotic sheet which is pre printed said we had 200mg tablets on hand. Therefore I grabbed one. So I feel that error was an environmental error bc the sheet saying what's in stock was wrong. (But I should've read the dose on the pill). I've never had any sentinel events. EVER. I'm On the code team. I fill In supervisor when they are short. I've never been suspected of being impaired. I am married with a family. I've been Taking adderall lexaproand xanax for 9 years. Before I met my doc and he put me on regimen I was a party girl moving from house to house with whatever guy I was with. I moved home went to a professional. Since starting my meds I became a CNA, CMA,LVN ( graduated 2nd in my class), RN, and BSN with a 3.89 GPA.im now applying to grad school. Every job I've ever had I stopped my meds a week before the drug test out of embarrassment. I hate appearing weak. I know the stigma behind xanax. But I'm on a low dose and it really helps me. I have a job interview tomorrow. I did not stop taking my meds this time. I just read on the BON website that if any nurse has a positive urine screen even with a prescription they are reported to the board and not hired. Is this true? I can't get an answer!!!!!! ***** I am NOT asking for medical advice!!!******* I'm asking for nurses to share their hospital policies and knowledge"""""
  11. In this case the first order I would have requested was for topical lidocaine. Even a small amount SQ you can inject with an insulin needle under the skin above the vein. i would've made a deal with her, let me start this IVAnd I'll get you a dr pepper :) I would have then told preceptor she agreed to let ME start it and I'll be back shortly. But she wants me to do it not you. Yes I would've been mad after spending that much time convincing the patient. He won't be your preceptor forever. Once you are on your own keep him away from your patients
  12. Yep. Just bring it back. Luckily you told that nurse. Don't tell anyone else.
