Smashnyc, how did you like the simulation part of the courses? Did you feel it helped you or would you have rather been in the hospital learning? I think NYU has more simulation than Pace does. A big question I have is, did you feel you were prepared enough for the NCLEX? I haven't talked to anyone who attended Pace's program, but I read that a lot of people said to stay away from it...

Vad21 I'm choosing between pace also, did your friends graduate from the program??

Smashnyc I have some questions because I am torn between this program and another... How did u like the program?! Where did you live? What was your schedule like (how many classes per day, what days, when were clinicals)? Did hospitals change for clinicals? Did you know anyone who communted from Long Island ? Really any info about the program that you could give would be awesome, I haven't talked to anyone who is in or has done the other program I am choosing between so anything really helps! Thanks :)

That is what mine said also! I'm going to be away next week so I had to pick today -__- but I emailed Elizabeth colon yesterday and she said if I wanted to I could reschedule to a later date, there's just someone else I had to email.

Yeah and I just received more material today!! Did you?? The other stuff was so easy, now I have to refresh my memory on the stuff we got today. I'm nervous now but if you fail you get to retake it, so I'm gonna see how it is tomorrow and see what happens.

Also they give a short assessment in the beginning, math questions. Read earlier in the thread, we talked about it a little

It was a group when I interviewed. The first thing is tell me about your self and for my group they asked about a failure and how you handled it etc I'm not sure what questions they asked other groups. Mine was very short because there was only 3 of us

Wow yeah I feel better about that also...Did she say if we get our clinical schedule in the beginning for the whole semester or do we get it like at the beginning of each week?? I applied to other schools but I only heard back from pace so far so I put my deposit down

wow that is a lot... thanks for all the information. so if you plan on going to Pace, you would live home? That stinks they do not put you based on where you live because that would be very convenient and would put less stress on us... I wish someone in the program now could shed some light on this!!!

samkasper1 did they say that during the interview? I did not know that... the welcome email just states that clinical days could be on monday, thursday, friday, or saturday (2 days per student). Lecture is wed and thurs. Did they say if we find out in the beginning of the week where we have to go? or do we get a schedule the first week for the whole semester?

Samkasper1 yes those are the questions that I had ! Changing fractions to decimals and to percentages. Not sure if they change it up but if they do I couldn't imagine it being anything other than what is on those pages :)
