Hello everyone. I am currently planning a vacation to southeast asia for late january/early february of next year. My head is sort of spinning while looking for reputable volunteer organizations. I didn't realize it would be so difficult. So many cost an arm and a leg as well. Does anyone have experience with any organizations that offer opportunities in this area of the world? Also any practical advice from someone who has done something similar? Also, I read on a few travel forums that many places volunteers are not particularly welcomed or desired by the locals (one example given was in Thailand) Is this something anyone else has experienced ? I legitimately just want to be helpful in any way I can, and learn about and experience local culture in a way that makes a difference.
