Should I work as a CNA before starting Nursing School?
Thanks for all the info guys, I really appreciate it. I heard it will be hard to try and get in at local hospitals. I would have to start at SNF. Would that be good experience enough? It would be great to get in at the hospitals for networking after nursing school but I don't know. I would need 6 months experience as a CNA before getting hired at hospitals.

Should I work as a CNA before starting Nursing School?
Hi there! I have just finished a CNA course, and passed my state boards a couple weeks ago. I am now a Certified Nursing Assistant! However, I just found out that I have just gotten accepted to the nursing program for this Fall. My question is, should I work as a CNA for the next couple of months before starting nursing school? Will it help me as far as knowing a little bit more in nursing school, and will it help me land a job faster as a nurse with CNA experience under my belt? Or does it not matter at all? I want to spend the last 5 months with family, and just enjoying myself before I have no life! I also don't want to miss out not working as a CNA for the experience. I am stuck, not knowing what I should do. I know there are many of you who are way more experienced then I am, and I would love your input! Thank you so much for your time!

Nursing program and pregnancy
Hi there. I am currently on the nursing waitlist at a community college. I have been waiting for almost two years now. Last time I spoke with the health department, they said students typically wait 2-3 years before getting in. I'm hoping to get in next year, but I'm not sure-it's possible. My issue is a little complicated, so I'm hoping some of you can advise me on what I should do. Long story short, I will be going through IVF to get pregnant. If I do it now, I should be pregnant around Feb-Mar, and possibly due November. IF I get accepted to the nursing program next year, I would start August 2016. My question, since it is going to be the latter half of my pregnancy, will I be doing clinical in the beginning, or is it classroom based? Since it will be the first few months of classes is it doable versus the end? I have a ton of support from my family, so someone watching him or her will not be an issue, I'm more worried about the missing class and clinical portion. I have had a baby while in school before with no issues, and went back to school two days after delivery. I am very determined and goal oriented. I care about grades, and I work hard to get a high GPA the last couple of years in school. Just thought that may help. Any comments are appreciated. Thank you
