  1. Thank you...really good to know that you can still get hired....
  2. Wow, so if your able to show that you have had the vaccinations then I guess its not hard to get employed? I was just so worried because I haven't heard or read of this situation. I thought I was really unique.... Is that true for just the Hep? Or for all required Titers...like MMR, Varicella, etc... I don't titer for all.... Thanks for your post!
  3. I just recently got accepted to a nursing program and will be a student starting spring 2016. While going through my routine tests (all the Titers) , I found out that I am a non-responder to the vaccinations that are required in nursing school. ( Basically I don't respond to any vaccinations and don't have immunity) The school said it wouldn't be a problem while I am in school, but I am wondering if I will have issues getting employed out of nursing school due to the condition I have. Is there anyone out there also a non-responder to vaccinations that is currently working in the field? I know with all the regulations out there, there may be a problem. Any real time advice on how to handle this situation? Thank you~~
  4. Thank you! I really wish I had known about the pre nursing classes you could take before getting into the actual program....Would have definitely helped...and those are extra points on your application too!
  5. Im not sure if they accepted my work experience hours...because it wasn't one of those on their list... but if they did I think I had something around 67ish.... I don't remember the exact number....
  6. When i went to the orientation i think they said that 68-70 is considered competitive for SAC....but she said it really depends on the batch of applications they receive... so definitely if you get those extra hours, I'm sure you have a spot in SAC.
  7. Hey guys~~ I got in!! Yay!!! It's been a long ride in prepping for nursing school....Anyways best of luck to all of you.... If there are any others that are accepting their Spring enrollment...see you at orientation!! Any advice on how to prepare in terms of nursing items or other "things" that you guys would recommend? Thanks~~~
  8. Has anyone received their letters yet? Do you get a letter even though you don't get accepted? I asked the nursing office and they said that they wouldn't offer any of the pre nursing courses this intercession....if anyone hears otherwise please let us know! Thanks~~~~
  9. I'm getting nervous too, since SAC is also my first choice... Anyways good luck and keep me posted....two more weeks..hopefully....
  10. Good luck!!! Let me know if you get in
  11. Wow, I think she might have a good chance of getting in. Good Luck! Let me know if she gets accepted....
  12. Hey guys~~ I just applied to the spring 2016 ADN program for Santa Ana College. I was wondering how many points other people had when applying... Also, I did not take any of the pre-nursing classes. (pharm and nursing concepts) Do they not accept you if you haven't taken those classes yet? Or will they still accept your application.... Also any reviews of how the school is? I heard that some schools in the area have very difficult programs and faculty.... Anyways, just waiting for the letters now....
