Hi, I'm really aspiring to become a nurse and I was wondering if my current decision would be the smartest and fastest one...? I recently graduated with a BS in Biology with a GPA of 2.7 due to my early college years, however regardless I was able to do decently well in my pre-requisite courses (Anatomy and Physio - B, Microbio - A). Due to my overall low GPA i felt that getting into most ABSN programs in California was impossible since they ask for minimum of 3.0 GPA or higher. So I decided to enter an ADN program which will bridge into a BSN program over 3 years. Attempting to apply to the program, I was denied due to my microbio, anatomy and physio courses having no equivalency. I am currently re-taking microbio again which has equivalency and i am doing well in the course as well, however I was wondering if this is the correct decision/path? Should i just re-take anatomy and physio as well and then enter the program? Or is it possible for me to enter a MSN program or other path? I've also researched and read that many people recommend becoming a CNA to work during this time to fain further insight on the nursing field. Is this a good idea? What do you guys think? Thank You!
