3 Attempt NCLEX-RN, Need New Study Plan
I'm in indianapolis too and I took the nclex twice before passing on the the 3rd try last month. I studied with only Kaplan the first 2 times and like you said the videos where awful and I found it to be all over the place. After my second time of getting all 265? And failing I looked online and found Hurst. That was the best decision I made! It took me 3 months to get through the lectures and I didnt even do all the quizzes at the end. I could tell I had retained some info and was understanding things better so I went ahead and took the test (even though I was terrified) and 3 hrs and 122? after sitting down the computer cut off on me. I left there feeling like I passed since this was the first time I didnt get the whole 265. I went home and tried the Pearson trick and I got the good pop up. When I got up the next morning my license number was on the Indiana website. I'm due to start my first nursing job this coming Monday this was just me telling you that Hurst for me was awesome. I think I would be retaking it again if I stuck with just the Kaplan so go for it. Good luck! From a brand new excited nurse

I passed the NCLEX in 122 questions on my 3rd try...
Hello everyone... I just took the nclex yesterday for the 3rd time. The first 2 times I got all 265 questions and I took the whole time to take both but yesterday the computer cut off at 122 questions and it took me 3 hours to do. I came home that night and Google "how to find out if you passed" and I came across the "Pearson Vue trick" that seemed to have started so much debate. Well I tryed this PV trick and I got the "good popup". I went to bed feeling a little more at ease so I told myself I would just have faith and just wait the 48 hours for me to verify with the quick results. Needless to say, this morning I couldn't controll myself and I tryed the PVT again and got the same "good popup" so I went on my states website (really not expecting anything to show up there, especially not before the quick results) but there it was, right there in my face, my license number. Joy doesn't begain to describe how I felt, after taking it 3 times and failing twice I was finally done with that last stage. Now for anyone looking for review material all I can say is that I used the Kaplan review the first two times (because my school paid for it) then decided I needed a change so I got the Hurst review and it was completely awesome. It started from the basics and build you back up from there unlike Kaplan which was all over the place. Other then that I don't have any other recommendations but if your a retester also then try to stay positive and know that you got it. Thanks for letting tell my story...

Pearson Vue Trick
Thanks everyone for the e reply.. I took the boards for the 3rd time yesterday. The first 2 times I got all 265 and it took me 5-6 hours to complete each time. Needless to say my confidence was shot and I didn't think I would ever pass so when I got done with my 3rd attempt yesterday I was feel good about the test but I felt good the first time I took it to. My nerves were so bad having to wait for the quick results so I Google "how to tell if you pass nclex" and I found plenty of people talking about the PV trick so I have it a try using a real cc with the expiration date wrong and I got the "good" pop-up but there were still so many different oppions on how reliable the PVT was so I just went to bed not really sure... But this morning I decided to check my state website and I found out I PASSED!!! I'm so relieved to have that test out of the way and now I can start my career. I already have a job lined up and the interview is in a week. So I guess the PVT worked for me, thanks again everyone!
