I am the director of an assisted living and work very closely with my delegating nurse and the visiting PCP NPs. I am not a nurse, but it is a position/role that I highly respect and value. I have come across the best and the worst of all positions within the assisted living field. All positions play a significant role in providing quality care to the residents that depend on us. In my experience, it has mostly been nurses that educated, guided, and assisted me to ensure proper resident care. I am a successful assisted living director because of caring nurses. I want all you caring nurses to know how truly valuable you are and the significant impact you make!
