Technical College of the Lowcountry (TCL) - LPN
Hello students is there ANYONE out there who is currently in the tcl nursing program specifically LPN program to be exact. I have been trying my best to find infirm about how the program is set up. I know most schools have a student forum where nursing students connect. I'm getting ready to apply for the lpn program this Spring for fall submission. Can anyone please give me any insight whatsoever about what your typical day looks like or how often you are in physical classes, check offs etc. I just want to be prepared as possible I know that things could change but any insight about how the schedule is set up or what the typical schedule looks like would be amazing. How often are you in clinicals ? What does that look like. Thank you!

LPN nursing school student single mom
Hello nurses and nursing students, I need some insight I have the opportunity to go back to nursing school. The first time I attempted to finish school I was a brand new single mom trying to take on the RN program. At the time my son was 2 he is now 11 and now can tend to himself a little better. My only concern is that I have to retake some of my classes to get back into program. I just found out that I have to take 12 credit hours which will consist of psych 203, bio 210 bio 211 and medical terminology. I really really want this because my dream is to be a nurse I haven't felt happy with my career life because I never finished. At this moment I still have no help it's just me and my son. Although he is old enough to be independent enough and he understands that I need time to study I still have to be there for him and take care of us. I really need some insight on how to take 4 classes, juggling being a mom, and also providing for us. I need to make sure our bills are paid but I also really just want to focus on school. I HAVE NO family near so this is not an option. Luckily all of my classes can be taken online and most of the nursing program classes are online so I'm very excited about that part so I don't have to be confined to a class schedule. I need to make atleast $2000 a month just to make sure we are good and that's just the bare minimum. Can someone help me figure out how to get through all these classes I really need to focus on the classes, juggle being a mom and also make sure our bills are paid. Thank you so much ? also I would like to make sure my mental health is intact so I like to go to the gym as a get away before I start my day. Can someone maybe give me an idea schedule or some tips to get through this. I'm a visual learner so 4 classes seem like a lot of classes and ALOT of reading. Is there a way to shorten study time for a bunch of information.

How did you study for the actual lecture test. I am doing great on my labs because they are pictures. But did you use the anatomical models for lecture?

Hello fellow nursing students, I recently applied to CCTC nursing program and just waiting on my approval letter. If anybody who has recently graduated from cctc or is going through the program right now, want to give me some insight that woild be awesome. I want to know what should expect when going into the program. How are classes and clinicals intertwined with the program? Any single mothers with NO help, how do you manage? How long are clinicals and class days? What makes the program so hard? I am just eager to know. Thanks(:
