Flowerchild - I am sorry that you have been given incorrect information. Our college is nationally accredited by the Accrediting Commission on Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) recognized by the US Department of Education. In addition, our nursing program is programmatically accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education(CCNE). It is always our recommendation that the graduate contact the receiving school to discuss transferability of degrees/courses as it is up to the receiving institution what will and will not be accepted regardless of the type of accreditation the sending institution holds. However, there are many state colleges in Virginia that do accept our courses for credit including Old Dominion University (if interested contact their nursing department and not their graduate admissions office) and Virginia Commonwealth University and many for-profit schools such as Drexel University, University of Phoenix to name a few. We have also done research of our own and have created a complete listing of Virginia schools that accept our degree based on their stated admission criteria. This list continues to grow as more students graduate and move on to further their studies. We are happy to send this to you if you would like it as a guide.
