I need some advice from those of you who currently work as nurses! I started out pre-nursing at a university, applied to their program and didn't get in, so a year ago I applied to the nursing program at a technical college and got in right away. In the spring, I graduate with my ADN and I'd like to immediately go on to do my RN to BSN. My question is: does it make a difference if I get my bachelor's degree from a 4-year university vs. somewhere online like Rasmussen College? Do employers prefer nurses who have gone to 4-year universities? My advisor is trying to convince me to transfer back to the university I came from, but it's so expensive. I realize I still have a lot of time before I can apply to an RN to BSN program, but I have to decide within the next month whether to renew my lease for next year. Thanks for your help!
