I can't create a group with no members besides myself haha :) -- directed towards LisaK :) I think in past they've always done separate groups for each cohort since they're on different schedules, at least for the summer versus the fall programs.

Just got my official acceptance email from Jennifer :)

It USED to be white...the black appeared to be new about a year ago (conjecture since I am just going by what I've seen on campus since I started my journey to nursing school).

Definitely - just hope no one misses theirs thinking the standard reply time was 5 days. Do you or anyone else know the next steps/timeline for official acceptance?

Just got mine...FYI they only give until NOON on THIS FRIDAY to reply!! So much for the 5 days...

Per my advisor a moment ago: We had a large number of applications which has delayed our communications. We expect final decisions to be sent out on mid-April.

Unfortunately no -- this is frustrating!! But, it must come soon....

My advisor contacted me last Friday to tell me I was ill-advised and have to re-take a class that I took pass/fail - thank goodness for Rio Salado and their quick classes, I guess! :-/ But, he said our first email notification should be coming maybe this week or next. Good luck to all!

Hey, unfortunately I'm too new a user to initiate a PM... :-/ But, if YOU are able to message me, I believe I can reply? If able, send me the names of a few and I can advise which mine was. Unfortunately I don't remember it off the top of my head, but I think I'd recognize her name!

I find it really interesting (as a pre-nursing student) that so few people have dealt with anaphylaxis or have done so only very rarely. I actually had an "exciting" episode of it myself about a year ago in an out-patient surgical center, and my nurse panicked. Eventually a team came and took care of me, but not until I was in a pretty bad state... :-/

I agree with Maycation that it is indeed "easy" to earn an A in the class, but it is a lot of work (I spend hours researching and writing my essays every week), and since we're all going into nursing, taking it seriously is only to our own benefit. For the RIO section I'm in currently, nothing is timed and you may retake the weekly quizzes if you wish to get the full points. The final is 2 50-question sections which you may only submit once. Compared to some of the other Rio Salado classes I've taken, my instructor is VERY available, responds to emails in a very timely manner, answers any questions I have, and provides substantive feedback.
