I am planning on applying to nursing school in the next year the only thing is I have an incredibly gpa... 2.23. I made a lot of mistakes while getting my first degree in biology and delt with a lot of personal issues through college that negatively affected my academics. I'm currently working at a hospital to gain experience and plan on following/shadowing a couple of nurses and a PA all next year who said they would write letters and putting in a ton of volunteer hours as well as taking two prerequisites A&P 1 and 2 though which I am going to make sure are nothing less than As. That and on top of a lot of studying to do as well as humanly possible on the TEAS and I already have my nurse manager agree to write a stellar letter of recommendation.The courses that I took prior were not terrible but mostly C's that would be required for a BSN program. I'm just really worried about this and don't want to take another year of re taking courses to make up for my undergrad years. Do you think it is possible with all of that, that my prior cumulative could be overlooked if I put in enough work to show that I am serious about getting my BSN and becoming a nurse?
