  1. If you didn't get the position they will send you an email. If you got the position they will call you according to a friend of mine.
  2. What is the website we can view our status change for application submitted?
  3. Has anyone heard anything from southeast memorial?
  4. Be more supportive and a person with a nasty attitude is a bully. Please go somewhere else with that subjective stuff. No one here is assessing a patient!
  5. All of you here are so unsupportive! Bullies are by no means tolerated. This is lateral violence! If the manager you reported this to does nothing about it then go up the chain of command. Make a big fuss and say you feel threatened. Bullying is not tolerated anymore. You folks here are insane! I have worked in a hospital 18 years and the people that were bullies always ended up out the door. Report them to corporate compliance and if that still doesn't work then they don't deserve a great nurse like you.
  6. I think I will just stay put because that will not be affecting us. Plus HCC instructors are really great and we have learned A LOT. There were 2 schools I was going for St. Thomas and chamberlain and they are too full with warning now. It just depends on your faculty and willingness to learn.
  7. The students that started Spring 2016 get grandfathered in. So in another words even if HCC loses their accreditation and they shut down the program. The current students still proceed as if the school was accredited and still sit for the NCLEX. They don't get affected by this at all.
  8. FYI... They just added something on certified profile asking about your citizenship. I hope that doesn't cause any trouble since it now places my certified profile to incomplete.
  9. Good luck to everyone having issues with titers and such.
  10. I would call and ask nursing department since deadline is approaching.
  11. I had a friend telling me about this she just graduated from Chamberlain and she had horrible instructors that it was practically learning on our own. I am sure you will do great. It's all up to the student.
  12. I've heard bad stories about all LVN programs. Did you have bad instructors?
  13. You just received your acceptance letter. Are you sure because everything is due December 15th and it takes a while to get everything uploaded verified etc. Is this for Houston community college associate program RN?
  14. Oh my goodness. What a relief!!!!
  15. I received mine within a week. I would call board of nursing now and ask if they have sent it out and when did they send it. Just in case it got lost and they need to resend it.
  16. I apologize. Mackenzie right. Since I had all positive titers already of course they would not require me to have booster shots
  17. I believe titers are for those who did not complete series. I didn't have any trouble with uploading on certified profile. They were very specific on the letters they sent out. They even extended the deadline because of the issues with Certified profile website. Which by the way was certified profiles fault they did not change the tracker when HCCS asked them to
  18. Steelergyrl I sent you an email
  19. I strongly recommend you talk to ------------- and ----------------. They will let you know if they can accept it this way or not. Even if you just upload it and --------------- looks at it perhaps.
  20. If you received a letter with additional spots is because those who were accepted if they declined their spot by October 15 then those became available. This time around they have secured clinical spaces for those that received letters of acceptance or spots open. There was a big mess last semester so they are not sending out letter unless the spot for clinicals are secured. Consider yourself lucky because the ones accepted from here on are the best of best since they want NCLEX scores to go up. Congratulations!!!
  21. Oh no judgement here. If I wouldn't have gotten an appointment in Houston I would of gone out of the city as well.
  22. Around $40... I actually received mine in 8 days which I was shocked because I kept reading on this blog that it took some people longer to receive theirs.
  23. I for one have been getting A LOT of criticism for getting accepted into the nursing program. Even the medical assistant at my doctors office said " Why do you even want to be a nurse? They work so hard and don't get paid enough. " I'm like where is the encouragement!!! My goodness!!
  24. You have to do your fingerprinting ASAP because sometimes it could take up to more than 2 weeks to receive your blue card!! Deadline to have everything uploaded to certified profile is November 15.
