Education to go into administration?
I am currently in a BSN program and completing a minor in Business Administration. My plan was to get an MBA or MHA and move into administration (my ultimate goal), but I am hearing that it would be wiser to get a DNP or continue to specialize in nursing, and then get an MBA/MHA. Say I wanted to become a CNO. If I was starting as an RN, what educational path would be best to follow to be qualified for a nursing management position? I have heard that since CNO is more on the business side than nursing, a business degree would look better than specializing in nursing. But wouldn't a business degree just put me on that standard path of hoping to slowly move up the ladder to the top? Thirdly, I have seen several CNOs with educational backgrounds that all seem to include a BSN, MBA/MHA, and then a DNP with no concentration once they were already set to be given the CNO position. Also, it seems like getting a DNP after a BSN would actually make the process even longer. I would imagine that after a BSN, you would need some years of experience to enter a DNP program, and after that would need more years of experience as a DNP before being considered for an administration job, regardless of whether you decided to get a business degree after the DNP. I don't know if I want to be a CNO (too soon to tell, I'm still in school), I just know that I want to work in administration one day and was hoping a nursing background would help me, but now I am not sure what I should be aiming for. If anyone works in administration, any advice would be greatly appreciated! I know I have time, but I would like to get an idea of what others who have taken this path have done or would advise to do.

I have 60 grand of student loan when I finished BSN
Just save as much money as you can. Cook at home, don't go shopping unless you need to, use coupons. It's doable, but things will be tight. Just tell yourself it's only for a year :)

MBA after BSN
I am looking to get an MBA after I receive my BSN. I am currently minoring in Business Administration and I know that after a few years of nursing I want to apply to business school. Can anyone give me any advice on getting into business school? With experience, does gpa matter less?

Difficulty of nursing school?
I'm am starting a BSN program in the fall, and I am very nervous about the difficulty of the classes. I heard that the information isn't exactly hard, just stressful. This past semester I was consumed with A&P 2 and I barely made a passing grade in the class and the lab. This is very nerve-wracking for me because I am usually a straight A student. My GPA is lower than I would like it to be, and I don't think I'll be able to bring it up easily just by saying "Oh, I'll just make straight A's in the fall." I am also doubting how I will be able to handle nursing classes if I am already struggling with the prereqs. Can anyone tell me if their GPA's suffered from nursing school? Is it that hard where I will be barely passing each semester? Was A&P 2 just a class I personally struggled with or did anyone else think prereqs were difficult? Are nursing classes actually easier to comprehend than anatomy was? Ugghh, I just need peace of mind

Did anyone else have any problems NursingCAS?? I had several problems with them. My application was submitted November 3, but they were having so many issues with my transcript and references that they weren't received until end of January. Has anyone else who had everything in at the end of January heard back from them??

Practice in New York
I am going to graduate from Kennesaw State University in Georgia with a BSN in about a year. My plans for the future involve moving up to New York to find work. I know that New York requires a license to practice at any facility in New York. If I receive a BSN from another state, how would I go about to obtain a license to practice in New York? I read that you need to receive your BSN from a New York institution, but I want to be sure so I can get ready when the time comes.
