  1. I currently work in the ICU but worked on a med-surg floor and the PCU, I have always loved my job but I must say now that I am in the ICU I can't see myself being anywhere else.
  2. We have thought about that as well as a lot of our Veterans have PTSD so a certain scent could trigger a memory; there is a lot to consider!
  3. Are there any particular sites, brands, books that you particularly like? Thanks :)
  4. Thank you for the reply :)
  5. I had my ADN when I received my Nurse II step 6 last December and just graduated this month with my BSN :)
  6. I should come to MN... the pay is a lot more compared to Milwaukee
  7. I think that was the best explanation of the pay scale at the VA I have ever heard!
  8. I am a Nurse II step 6 and have my ADN....
  9. I absolutely agree. Get your critical care experience and come back to the VA. LTC is not challenging enough for new grads who want critical care.
  10. Nursing school sucks there is no denying that HOWEVER would I go back and do it all over again? ABSOLUTELY. Becoming a nurse was the best decision I have ever made, I love going to work. Are there bad days? you betcha. Being a nurse is who I am and I sometimes look at myself in the mirror and think holy moly I am a nurse ( I have been a nurse for almost four years). After all the sweat, tears, stress, anxiety realizing you did it is sometimes hard to wrap your brain around. If you want you can do it!!!!
  11. The Milwaukee VA is pretty amazing, I feel blessed to work there.
  12. Hello all :) We want to start using essential oils in our ICU for increased patient and family satisfaction for all those pleasant odors that float around. Wondering if anyone has implemented this or if there are any resources you could share. Thanks ahead of time!!! BreAnn
