Roseman University ABSN October 2021
Hi! I applied right around the time you did and it was my first time applying. I already live in Vegas and my husband is stationed here for a while, so I'm hoping I'm lucky enough to get Henderson if I am accepted. I can't move at this stage in my life. My kids have a decent school here and the military takes their dad away enough. I couldn't voluntarily do that to them by moving. Your stats look good. Mine are a bit lower (last 60 credits-3.2, prerequisites-3.3, TEAS-86%). I haven't received an email but I'm hopeful I can have a chance for the first round of interviews. From what I've read so far, first round emails for interviews come out around the end of the first month, with interviews taking place 2-3 weeks after that. Good luck in your application process:)

Will separate A & P Courses meet AP1&2 pre reqs
The BSN program I will most likely apply to next year after moving requires "A&P1" and "A&P2" as expected of course. In the small town I'm currently living in, I can only find "Anatomy and Physiology" (no number listed so not sure where the second course would come from if I take it here), "Human Anatomy", or "Human Physiology". No "A&P2" anywhere here. I heard that Anatomy was equivalent to AP1 and Physiology equivalent to AP2. If this is true and I take Anatomy and Physiology as their own class with their own lab (possibly in the same semester), is it likely this will transfer and satisfy "AP1" and AP2" requirements at my future school? Sorry if this question is a little confusing, but thanks for any input you may have anyway. Man this would be easier if I waited till we moved and I just stayed at the same school I plan to apply to, but I really don't want to wait so long.

Military Spouse-Is it smart to start taking pre-requisites now?
Wow, everything you just said is exactly what I needed to hear. At 31 years old I was afraid of waiting any longer to start a new career. But you're so right. If I'm just patient and wait to get to our next assignment. I'll be able to do my prerequisites at the same school I'm applying to and the kids will be in school full time. So once I start it may only take me 2.5 years with prerequisites included. Not so bad :) thank you so much for the advice. I needed to read something like this.

Is it smart to start my pre-reqs now?
That would be great, as weird as it sounds, I can't really afford to work. Putting the twins in daycare would cost more than CNA pay. I really want to start something g though. The best I can think of is night classes after my husband gets home so I can take a pre req or two at a time.

Is it smart to start my pre-reqs now?
Hi Everyone, I'm an Air Force Wife / Veteran / Stay at home mom with a Bachelor's Degree in Physics. I'm home for now to raise my twins. They start preschool in 2 years and that is when I want to pursue nursing school full time (most likely an Accelerated BSN program in Las Vegas if we get orders there like I am pretty sure we will). Anyway, I know I'll need to take certain pre-requisites to get accepted when the time comes. The problem is I'm not sure which school I can apply to yet until I am certain of our next location. I'd like to start getting things moving as soon as I can, so is it smart to take my prerequisites at my current location in Oklahoma for the next year while we wait for orders? I'm worried if I begin taking Chem, Bio, etc on a part time basis that they won't get accepted at the schools I end up applying to. I have taken some of these before but it was over 10 years ago so depending on where I go it's possible they won't transfer. I guess what I'm really wanting to know here is what is the best way to spend my time while I wait to move over the next year or possibly 2? It seems like a waste to do nothing until we get to our next base late next year.
