I emailed the program asking about the LORs today. We’ll see what they say. I can’t really meet my professors in person anymore. I moved out of my college town back to my hometown and its about 6 hours away. I tried emailing a bunch of professors I got As in but they just...don’t reply at all. Its really disheartening.
I'm looking into applying to UM ABSN program. I honestly feel like a fish out of water right now. I don't really know where to start. I'm currently out of school in my "gap year" making money in customer service and helping my family out. I graduated from UF with a bachelors in health science in 2018 but I'll be honest I don't think I made enough waves. I was successful academically 3.76 GPA. I was in clubs and whatnot (VP of Health Science Professions Club). But I didn't make enough one on one relationships with my professors. I feel like my biggest concern right now is recommendations. I know UM requires 2 letters of recommendation from academic sources (if it was professional I think I would be fine). I have one I can count on but not a second. Right now I feel like my best bet is to go back to school for a certificate of something and create a rapport with someone then...I feel horribly dishonest doing that for some reason and maybe it would end up being a waste of time? Maybe the certificate will make me look extra competitive idk? I'm not sure anymore. Can anyone offer me some advise as to what to do?
