  1. Just arrived home to my letter. I got in too!
  2. I'm with you Jpeters. I looked at posts of people who got in and their points and I'm pretty confident I didn't make the cut either. But you need know. Hopefully I get my letter today and it will give me closure. Like you, I was thinking of just working and paying off debt. I may explore another degree option in the medical field like clinical research or sports medicine to go with my bachelors. We gotta stay positive!!
  3. Hey Laila34!! Thanks... I've been avoiding this place like the plague but I got news that next week will probably be the week so I decided to see how everyone else has been doing and also to see if anyone else has chewed their fingernails off like I have lol. Wedding planning is going well! getting closer and closer. We're going to take engagement pictures this weekend in Charlotte so that will get my mind of school for a bit. How've you been holding up?
  4. I called yesterday and they said letters should be sent out by the end of the week. I think Laila34 is right... By Thursday or Friday next week, we should know! I'm a tad discouraged about the number of applicants but hey, what are ya gonna do!? lol
  5. Hello everyone! It's getting close to the August 10th dealine so I wanted to start a thread for everyone applying. Any other tarheel RN hopefuls out there?
  6. Yea you have to wait that time period in order for them to contribute. You can definitely get it before then but you would just be paying out of pocket until you reach that year mark.
  7. @Jpeters247 that's smart! Hopefully everything works out. I've been trying to get into Rex for a LONG time. It's such a good hospital. I think most of the hospitals in the area will pay for you to get your BSN. You have to work a year to be eligible at Wake Med and 2 years at Duke. But I think they all will pay or at least contribute.
  8. The wedding is in June. Im excited! On my floor they just hired 2 ADN's ( one from Watts and Wake). They are required to get their BSN's within 3 years of their start date. Not so bad. Everything is online and they go at their own pace through WSSU. Yea I took those prereqs. They aren't bad though. I was worried about stat because I'm not a numbers person but Dr Williams at north campus made it a straight forward class. He was also there early 4 days out the week so you could ask questions if needed.
  9. I give you all the props in the world WSMom. 3 am is rough!! I'd be excited too. Kindergarten will be like Xmas everyday. Lol.
  10. Thanks! Yea that's with the TEAS. I didn't do well on it. Only studied for 2 weeks. I tried Duke in the past. It's too expensive for me even if I did get in there. I'm just applying to UNC again and Wake. What about you Jpeters?
  11. Yea, it is pretty crazy. I know a lot of my A&P 2 classmates last year had families, jobs, etc and it's tough. I'm a CNA at two hospitals to go along with school and wedding planning this year... Let's just say I was excited for my B's. Lol. This is my 3rd time applying for nursing school but my first time at Wake Tech so hopefully things turn out well.
  12. Hey everyone! I've been following for awhile. With the Teas, I have 150 points. 190+ though?! She's an animal! That's awesome though. I feel like every year, the points requirements to have a decent chance go up, rightfully so. Getting more and more competitive. We'll see though. I'm sure everyone applying will make terrific RN's. Good luck to everyone applying!
  13. I'm back from CLT and I still haven't received anything... I don't have a good feeling [emoji20]
  14. Congrats!!
  15. If someone gets a letter today, I'm hauling tail home and clocking out early... Lol
