Failed twice. Trying Kaplan ?
I used Kaplan and passed my test with 75 questions. I agree with everyone when they say that kaplans rationales suck, because they do. With that said, I feel I benefited more from that because I was forced to look up things on my own. So personally I felt like I learned more by taking the time and looking up a topic. It was a slow process and I only finished 90% of the Qbank and all the Qtrainers in the month I spent studying though. Good luck!

NCLEX in One Week - Encouragement/Advice welcomed!
My kaplan scores were roughly in the same range! I completed about 90% of the Qbank prior to my test. I tested yesterday, so I don't have my results yet, but I'd say you're on the right track to passing your test! I would just tell you to keep taking Qbank quizzes and making sure you read the rationales! I spent a lot of time reading rationales and looking stuff up. I found that the Kaplan rationales weren't all that helpful sometimes! I also looked at the rationales for answers that I got right but just simply guessed! Keep doing what your doing and go in and give it your best shot! Good of luck!

Need some advice
Took my NCLEX RN today. Stopped at 75, got 39 SATA, one drag and drop and two "exhibit" questions. Not feeling all that confident at all. Let the long 48hrs begin! Thanks to those who offered info!

Thank you so much! Knowing that other people were scoring similar and passed is starting to help with some of the stress!

Need some advice
Hi everyone! So I am scheduled to take my NCLEX next week and have been frequently visiting this site to help with the anxiety. I'm currently doing Kaplan and have been looking at the scores of those who passed. I'm noticing that my scores are much lower - I'm stuck in the 56% to 64% range. My current Qbank average is 59% (I have only completed about 300 questions) and my Qtrainers 4,5,6 have been 57%, 58%, and 60%. I'm writing all the rationales down in a word document as well. I guess my ultimate questions is should I move my test date back while I can? and does anyone have any ideas on how to increase my scores? I'm feeling pretty lost right now. Thanks in advance!

Nursing Student interested in OB Nursing
Hi everyone, I'm currently a nursing student and I'll be graduating in December of this year. I had my OB clinical rotation last year and fell in love with L&D. I fell in love with it so much that I've even looked into becoming a nurse midwife somewhere down line. I currently work on a neurology/neuro surgery unit as a student nurse associate. I'll describe my current job as a tech with benefits. I do admission assessments, intake forms, caths, basically everything but passing medications. My question to all of you OB Nurses out there is would you recommend getting a year of med/surg nursing under my belt before applying for a job in say L&D? Everyone I have talked with says that I should but my heart isn't into the acute care, floor nursing area. Thanks in advance!
