I lost my LPN license 2 years ago due to stupidity, smoking weed and drinking alcohol. I made a mistake and now i am paying the price for it. I was a great nurse, my patients and coworkers loved me as I loved them. I admit I was suffering from severe postpartum depression and was on at least 5 different prescriptions prescribed to me yes. I was approached to smoke marijuana due to the fact my meds had me wanting to drive off a cliff, so I did. Worst decision I could have made. Three months later drug tested at work. I had quit smoking three weeks prior so I didn't think anything of it when I was asked to test. Lost my job and my license. Tried the CANDO program but unfortunately was not financially able to complete the tasks so I was kicked out and placed into the monitoring program where I received the best treatment for my depression I ever had! So it was a curse and a blessing in one. Once I completed part of the program my license was returned on a probationary period. This meant I could wok again YAY! Not really, no one wanted to hire me an LPN who couldn't pass narcotics for a whole year! Yeah right who was I kidding:( I became depressed again quit working my program and started drinking like an idiot! It was only time before I got caught and I did in a BAD way! The AZBN does not take kindly to mistakes so I was revoked for drinking alcohol. Lost my license for 5 years. it's been two and I am going to school for healthcare admin in hopes once I get my license back I can finish my BSN, but what I want ot know is can I get a license in something like radiology or other like jobs? I wanted to do that but could not get a straight answer and couldn't afford 30,000 waisted for school. Does anyone know any more about this? I want to do something I can stand by and wait anymore. I want my license back but know that's going to happen any time soon:( Please advise, I'm desperate for answers!
