  1. The 2 yr accelerated program (evening) for those who already hold a bachelors or just have a couple of classes to take before completing their first degree is completely in English. Even if you don't have a degree you can still be placed in the accelerated program if you have met all/most of pre-reqs. but this is at discretion of the program's director. The day program is a traditional 4 yr program in Spanish (for those starting off as 1st year of college). I do know the school has some English classes so somebody who is starting out could probably finish the whole BSN in English. All science classes even those held in Spanish have English textbooks. Hope it helps.
  2. Make sure you meet all other requirements from the California BON expects (A&P and microbiology etc). Each states in addition to NCLEX, CGFNS have particular requirements (ex. CE courses). Just remember to be dedicated and do a lot of self-studying/reading with this program. Hope it helps.
  3. You should not have any problems but some states view PR as "foreign educated" and California is one of them. You may have to go through the CGFNS process when applying for initial licensure.
  4. As mentioned on thread, the person would need to apply/pass NCLEX for Ohio. She should know this by now. There is no endorsement between PR license to RN license (states). The only exemption is Florida that would endorse but only after working in PR as a licensed nurse for at least 2 years (other requirements).
  5. I know of students who have had previous nursing courses from states approved with no problem. As to which trimester/sequence you enter depends on courses taken. You would follow the sequence of program minus any courses already taken/transferred (approved). As far as admission to the program after being dismissed from another nursing school, well, that I do not know.
  6. Congrats!! Do you know how far in advance can you apply??
  7. Hello, I don't know if this thread is active but I wanted to know how far in advance to apply for the fellowships? I am on an accelerated bsn program and will graduate in May 2016. I have the option of obtaining my associate degree at the end of this term and hopefully pass the NCLEX. I know the program only accepts bsn students so have you all applied after you graduated or can you apply while in school? Thanks!
