  1. I wasn't looking for anyone to tell me 100% and I dont think the other nursing students on here are either. Just your experience. and level of difficulty you had.
  2. Nope, not snapping back just stating again, that I am not saying that the nursing program is not going to be hard. I was asking about the prerequisites. I can handle anything since I did three college degrees while working three jobs with a child on my own. Not one penny taken in loans! So, I was just trying to get an idea of how their experiences were and several responded about the nursing program and how they couldn't be the ones saying whether or not I could do it. i just wanted to hear bout experiences from those who have done it, isn't that what a forum is for? GEEZ!
  3. I get it. As I said, I know that nursing is hard. I wanted to know about the prereqs and if they were manageable for me at this point in my life. I am not asking for anyone to tell me if I can handle it. This forum is for all of us sharing experiences is it not? Geez
  4. Again, I am not talking about the nursing program. I was asking about the difficulty level of the prerequisites and how much time would be devoted. I know the program will be a lot of dedication and I have done a graduate program before, it was tough but I can do this again. Thanks!
  5. I am terrified of the nursing prerequisites. I have three college degrees and I am contemplating nursing. I am currently a teacher and have found a program for one year that is a second degree BSN. I work full time and have noticed that people who post about the prerequisites say that they spend a lot of time studying. I don't have a lot of time to study. I feel like I could grasp the material but I don't know how much time commitment is involved. I will take Nutrition which I think should be manageable as well as Chemistry. i am worried about the chemistry. next semester it is microbiology and human anatomy and physiology. I just don't know if I have what it takes right now. I will also have to take the TEAS to get into the program. Even then it is not guaranteed. Any comments would be helpful! Thanks!
  6. Did you or are you going to take a medical terminology course? I think it would help although it may not be required. I found one that was online for six weeks. It would be a certificate and not college hours. It is cheaper and hopefully has great information. Thoughts? opinions?
