I am a new upcomin junior in high school and I have always desired to become a nurse; specifically a pediatric nurse . I really am conflicted about my courses. I am currently taking AP English Language and Composition AP Psychology AP Biology But I am thinking about foregoing AP Biology for the Project Lead the Way: Principles of Biomedical Science because it seems more for nursing/medical area. Is it right to do so or not? The coursework for AP Biology seems too much for me handle because I have a rather busy home life. What were your experiences if you took AP Bioleg in high school? I plan to attend Sacstate and their nursing program is impacted so competition will be high and they recommend also going for other degrees that can land one a job as a nurse. What alternative degrees are there that I can take if I can't get into the nursing program? Also I plan to take a Pharmacy Technician TraiNing when I become a senior to help me land a job and gain more information for nursing classes. Also is it better to take AP Statistics or AP Calculus because people tell me to try Calculus but in prerequisites in Sacramento state require a statistics class. So what should I do? I really look forward to your advice so please respond quickly. I have so many questions as I really want to be a nurse; to help people.
