  1. Hi! I'll be completely honest, I did not pass the teas test. The school averages all the test scores together & will mail you the score minimum required score. The average to start in Jan. was an 58 and I made an 55. Admissions did tell me that I can use the same score for January's application period or I can retest. Of course I decided to retest because that score is really low. I was looking at the wrong score when I originally got my letter...wish I had it in front of me to tell you the exact info & areas. I decided that the part time class is best for me anyway due to my work schedule & financial needs.
  2. Have you figured out what youre going to do?
  3. It is approx. 41mim away from lake tech, approx 26mi
  4. So have you decided what youre going to do?
  5. hi @mkelly when are you starting the program? I have a odd work schedule that changes every three months so right now I'm just studying on my off days which is Saturday & sundays.....its about to change next weekend though I'm not that great at math or science either but apparently the practice test are waaay harder than the actual test which is a good thing because everyone has been doing really well on the actual test but not that great on the practice test.
  6. Hi! If you go on there website they have almost all the info you need! Yes they do have a part time evening course. I was thinking about that program but my schedule changes too much for that. anyway part time is twice a week plus every other weekend. its 5pm-930pm two days out the week and I forget the weekend hours. And most tech schools are really cheap...its like less than $4k.
  7. Even though no new comments I'm still posting an update. Well it turns out you don't have to take the tabe test at "some" schools if you have graduated in 2007 or later. I graduated from high school in 2008 so Lake tech just required my high school transcript. They said they only look for a withdrawal code that indicates I graduated. I ordered a the ATI study guide book from amazon because it's cheaper there vs the actual website. I've read great reviews on it. Some reviews even said after 10days or two wks of studying they've improved their scores by as many as 17pts! Anyway I have to take the teas test in September anywhere from sept 1st - sept 30th. I'll try some practice test to see how I do before I choose a test date.
  8. Hi! I didn't go take the tabe yet, I was suppose to go last week but Im going today. The tabe is a breeze it's the teas that concerns me. I use to be a caregiver but that was not helping pay my portion of the bills so after two years I had to let that go. Now I'm in a better situation and I want to complete the program in 12months to hurry the process but at the same time I know part time will allow more time to study and work but 18months is just too long. I'll let you know how I do on both tests because thatll determine when I get accepted and start. Ttyl *btw which school are you attending?
  9. Hi! Is there anyone that is starting the LPN program at Lake Tech in 2016? I'm in the beginning stages right now. I will be taking the tabe next week which I'm not worried about and I plan on purchasing the ATI package to prepare me for the teas test in September. I tried to get a few friends & co workers who are interested in nursing to join me but I guess it's not their time yet lol. Anyway I know I will be meeting new people along this journey so any feed back is great!.
