  1. Hi everyone, I am on my final semester of nursing school and I start my transition to nursing practice on the 3rd of August. I wanted advice on what happens after I graduate, I am in New Zealand and I just want to prepare before uni starts. I have only done general med, community placements and in my pre-registration placement is in a Medical-general ward. I have been reading that most places require you to have experience in a medical/surgical placement, but I haven't been placed in one yet. Does this mean I will have no chance in landing a job offer for the ACE program or NETP? And if so how do I get this experience? Also any advice would be appreciated!! !! such as: would it be any worth applying for rest home nursing jobs? Thank you so much for your time! -Carol
