I only had one group that frustrated me. The other students were great to work with. Group work will be a challenge when you first start but once you develop a routine and communication mode then you will actually like having other peoples input on assignments. Group work be the least of your worriers once you get to the clinical.

I graduate in August and MVU has had its pros and cons just like any other school. I started off in another school and that's how I know I made the right choice. You will not find perfect out there. They really try to work with the students. The online concepts is that they provide you with all the tools and yes you have to read the material yourself (I believe that is it with most schools). I would recommend this school just go in with an open mind. Of course some instructors will be better/worse than others but that's standard everywhere.

Hi, I just wanted to find out how psych program is going. I understand its a new program in MVU. Am interested in doing a post certificate psych course. Can anyone post your class schedule so i can see what I need to do post my AGNP

I started my FNP program at University of Texas Arlington. This program was NOT a fit for me. It felt chaotic and disorganized. I never quite understood what was required for the assignment. It felt like what was asked was never what was required. I hated the statement by instructors saying, "you know you are in a masters program now and you need to be able to do things yourselves" Well, if not well explained you really can't it well. Needless to say I transferred to Maryville University, oh Lord! the difference was like night and day. Assignments are well explained, questions are welcome and help is a stone throw away. I can't believe how much easier life got. Am taking patho and Pharm this semester, very crazy combo but am glad am doing it here. The instructors work together so tests don't conflict on the same week. I kid you not, it ain't easy but I can tell they try to work with students. My point is everyone has a place they feel at home, some students like UTA, I didn't like it, some students don't like MVU, I do so do your research and here is to hoping you make the right decision.
