  1. I am taking my nclex for the 2nd time this saturday (4 days away) and am going in and out of confidence. my kaplan class finished 1 week ago and i have been doing question trainers and qbank about 150-200 questions a day for about 2 weeks. I have done all of the trainers except 6 & 7 and plan to do those tomorrow and thursday (leaving my friday as a very light day.. i know so many people say don't study the day before but i just cannot do that.. especially since i have done that the last time and it didn't work. I usually wake up, eat and do a test, take a break and do another. and leave my evenings to relax.) my scores are diagnostic: 58 readiness: 64 trainer 1: 65 trainer 2: 61 trainer 3: 57 trainer 4: 60 trainer 5: 63 and i take qbank quizzes either with all topics or just on one topic if i did low on it for a trainer and get from 55-80 on those (25-30 questions each). has anyone had similar scores and passed nclex? i'd love to hear your stories and advice

  4. Hello all. I took all 265 questions on June 29, 2015. It took me 3.5 hours and I went in there and panicked. took one break at 115 questions to cry and take a deep breath. I got 30-40 SATA/arrange/EKG type questions. I knew i wasn't getting enough of them to pass. I was so thrown off by the medications.. Everything i thought i knew went out the window when i read the questions. I always did in the 850-950 range on HESI exams. I did not take Kaplan, although i did several hundred of their qbank questions. I am taking the class August 10-13, and plan to test around August 20. I also have the HURST lectures as well. I just am so overwhelemed and feel very down on myself. I WANT to study and know i need to.. but i am so afraid of studying wrong that i do not know where to begin. I want to have a lot of studying under my belt before i even get to kaplan.. this was the only time the class was offered and i still have to drive 3 hours away to get to it. I just need some advice on how people studied their second time to pass. Just dreading going into that test center again...
  5. I took my nclex at the end of June and unfortunately did not pass. I am planning to move out of state next month to a compact state (My current state is not). So would it be better to apply to test in the state im moving to, or retest and have it switched over? It just seems to make more sense to license myself in a compact state! If anyone has done this, or has any insight i would appreciate it. I have tried calling the board of nursing in my new state and they said to take it and get it transferred but i think it would cost just as much or more to do that than to just apply and get another set of fingerprints, etc. I understand the test is the same throughout the nation- just making sure it's ok to apply for license in a new state after failing the first time.
