  1. Took everything but the respiratory equipment; that is with a different company. Did not sleep basically for over 24 hours. Don't want to get too detailed about the client of course; the company wasn't being paid and said they would give 2 days notice before they came so other arrangements could be made then showed up 2 hrs later and took everything back. No nursing in day only night ; if I was there I absolutely would have turned them away until we had other arrangements. So mad!!! Insurance rep said they were billing incorrectly. Could have all been solved with a few phone calls . Their loss already have new supplier coming out today.
  2. Medical supply company took everything back with only two hours notice. Their error they filed paperwork incorrectly. Any suggestions this happened to anyone before? I don't believe I have read anything like this previously. I am quite speechless actually.
  3. Please don't let fear of math stop you! I had an amazing lpn instructor who taught us dimensional analysis for meds...sounded intimidating but actually a very simple formula to figure dosage calculations correctly. Can be self taught I bought myself a used book on Amazon for extra practice .
  4. Thankyou! A meeting happened with the whole team with alot of issues addressed ; doing significantly better with a few med changes . Thankyou for taking the time to reply!
  5. Why would someone desat on ventilator and be fine off? Obviously I am thinking settings or circuit ...this is home care and have asked rt to come and observe what is happening without response..yes this is unacceptable and etc however true am stuck with what I have to work with and pt needs help...I think I need to troubleshoot this myself and then call for the appropriate orders? Has a backup vent tried that changed circuit changed changed everything has to be settings but don't know what I'm looking for am lpn in homecare...wanted to send to hospital but refuses and doing well off vent for now but not a long term solution needs the vent support to sleep...also thought of plugs has good air exchange and why would improve off vent if a plug?
  6. Hello I am hoping for some wisdom from anyone who has cared for a pulmonary fibrosis client. I have researched the condition online and communicate with nurse manager, rt and physician and intervene as instructed. It is a constant challenge to maintain sats even with 100 percent O2 and vent support (dependent on this level of O2 even before coming home) Any suggestions or links to information would be greatly appreciated.
