I haven't started yet because I have yet to find an officer recruiter. I've talked to the Air Force and they would be my second choice if Navy doesn't work out for me. I don't know about the Army though

I haven't gone to them yet, I'm sorry. I have yet to find an officer recruiter, only enlisted ones and they are not always the best people to ask when it comes to this because they just want you to hurry and enlist.

Hi! I am planning to join the navy nurse corps one day, but right now I'm only in my 2nd semester of my first year getting my general ed done. I was wondering if anyone could provide tips and info on what to expect trying to get into the Navy nurse candidate program.

It's okay! It is a general core class program, so it just says AS or AA. It guarantees you being able to transfer to a four year university without having to take extra classes and things like that. I didn't want to go the ADN program because not all of the classes transfer ( including the nursing ones) and it would be a waste of time retaking classes.

My ultimate goal is to become an RN with a bachelors degree, but right now I'm getting ready to start community college. Does it matter whether I get my associates in arts or science? Will I still be able to transfer and become an RN either way? Would anything change?

I plan on starting my freshman year of college next spring and I have to choose between doing general ed (science/math path) classes or going into the ADN program at Coastal Carolina Community College in NC. I plan on transferring after 2 years, either to UNCW, or PVAMU in Texas. But here is my dilemma. I WOULD do my general ed, but I'm scared because they require me to take calculus, precalculus algebra, or trignometry. I am TERRIBLE at math and I'm worried that those classes will hold me back from having a 3.0. I need that to transfer to my schools! I could do the genreal ed program for arts, that one has math classes I don't think I would struggle too much in, but I'm not sure how an associate arts degree will effect me when I ask for a BSN in the next school. I have also looked at the ADN program, but I dont want to have to transfer and worry about having to take other general eds after I transfer because they want me to take their version. I want to be 100% focused on the nursing classes. What should I do?
