I just saw your message now. Preparing for a phone interview is a bit easier than in person. It requires you to be calm, and just sound confident. They can't judge you based on looks or outfits so I find it easier. Read over the job description, because sometimes questions can come from there. The interview took an hour for me, so make sure you have water and you're in a quiet place. Don't worry, you'll do fine. Also, the one question I always get is what would you do if you made a med error so know how to answer that.

I guess for internationally educated nurses, it's a bit more difficult. I haven't encountered any problems but I did get my education in Toronto.

Thank You, I'm super excited but at the same time kind of anxiety filled to go out there. I did a phone interview after they offered me the interview. After that, they took a few weeks to hire me then gave me a conditional offer. I have to get a Manitoba license with a few other conditions. Phone interviews are great because you can wear whatever you want and the person can't make judgments based off your appearance.

I'm from Ontario. I'm expecting to freeze my butt off, thankfully the town is small so I won't be living too far from work. Im planning to hibernate for the winter lol.

Thank you so much, I'm excited to start my career finally. I don't know what working in a developmental centre will be like, hopefully it will lead to me working in mental health later on. Which this sort of is.

I'm currently a new grad from Canada, unfortunately unable to find a job in my own province I randomly applied for one in Manitoba and was surprisingly hired. It's with the Government, Full-Time and in a Developmental Center. I'm so nervous. Can anyone share their experiences of moving provinces, negative and positive. Also of changing licenses?
