Hi, I'm not currently attending ACC. I'm still hoping someone that attended the program will see this post and give us all an insight.

I would like to know how the program is also at American career college. How the instructors are and such.....

That is too bad. I wish they could say that in advance about nursing core classes. I explained in the beginning that I have one year of nursing school (RN) complete and was told of course that they would take a look at my classes but first I have to pay the 75 enrollment fee, then go thru financial aid, and then have my interview to then have my transcript evaluated.

I also attended the Information session at ACC in Los Angeles. For my situation it's a little different since I have already completed one year of nursing school at a community college. However I still need to complete the HESI entrance exam before having my transcripts evaluated.

Hello everyone. I started this threat to get some insight information about the ADN program at ACC in Los Angeles, CA. Anyone that took this program? What was/is your experience like? How is the quality of the program and how long did it take you to complete? Any difficulty finding a job afterward? Did you transfer to a BSN? I am asking all these questions because I have completed one year of Nursing at a Community College where almost half the class was not successful the third semester. I am one of them and I don't want to wait "no more than two years" to get back into the program if I don't have to. I'm also wondering if they take transfer students and transfer their nursing classes? I know this program is fairly new P.S I am aware of the tuition for the program, please. Id like only info about the ACC ADN experience. Thanks all!

I wonder. Are there any LVN programs that accept transfer ADN students. I'm in a similar situation. I've only completed one year of ADN school and I am looking for a temp financial fix as ADN school is on hold until further notice.

Hi Determination, I was reading through your post and was wondering if you've made a decision as to whether becoming an LVN or taking an RT program. I'm currently in the same boat. I've applied to various RN programs but I always end up as an alternate or waitlisted. Since RN does not seem to be happening I was thinking of doing RT also of just getting my degree in healthcare management while I wait for nursing because that's not happening soon. Hopefully you're still active and hear back from you!

I'm actually looking into it. I live in California and all the nursing schools that I've applied to always waitlist me. I've applied to the college and I am about to submit my official transcripts to my assigned D'youville counselor and see how things go from there!

I've been wondering that. Also I want to know how many people they put on their alternate list?

How many of you are attempting to apply for a nursing program for the second time or more?

Sooo I have 48 points i might end up an alternate again ugh. I don't want to give up but its getting frustrating thatim still not in nusring this is my second time applying.

That was actually my plan to turn stuff in tomorrow but I have to make sure I have everything they"re asking for right now! I hope I get in this time and I don't get placed on the alternate list again.

I am actually trying to figure that out right now. I don't remember exactly how many points I had last time I applied. I'm sure it wasn't enough since I was placed as an alternate. I know tomorrow is the first day they start accepting applications at GWC up until the 29th right?

I see you tried cypress also? Me too and They put me on the wait list for fall 2016! >.

This is going to be my second attempt. I was on the alternate list but they never did e-mail to to let me know if i'd get in so i'm going to re-apply and try my luck again!

I know how you feel... Im on the chronological wait list for cypress and at goldenwest as an alternate but they havent contacted. I feel like I don't know what to do in the meantime if i should get my lvn or do healthcare management at cal state Dominguez or jist keep worki mg full time until i get in. I feel like i'm floating in gravity and im not going anywhere ugh!

I wonder when we'll be notified for the fall semester. Maybe in the summer? It's a bummer I'm so ready to start
