  1. I am about to graduate nursing school and apply to take my NCLEX in California. About 3 years ago I was given a citation (it counted as an arrest even though i was never physically arrested) for possession of a fake ID (i was not impersonating anyone, it was me on a fake ID). I went to court and the charges were dismissed, there was never any conviction, and I don't have any prior problems with the law, or any after. I don't even have a parking ticket. I have contacted the board and different people have told me different things. When i called they said that I do not have to report the arrest, then I e-mailed them to be sure and they said that if the arrest occurred when I was over the age of 18 ( I was 20 at the time) I do have to report it. On the BRN website it says that you do not have to report an arrest if there was no conviction. I am super confused as to what to report and what not to. I think I will go through the process of obtaining the arrest record, letters of rec, and all of that, BUT now I am just very very nervous that I will get denied a license because of this minor mistake I made when I was 20. Does anyone have any advice for me? Or any positive words of encouragement? I am completely discouraged because of this and have lost all hope. Is it even worth applying in the state of California if I will get my license denied? Please help, Thank you
