Shift differentials
Sparky, yes I have a friend who worked in Baltimore and when she moved there was a pay cut in the north west ., that is why I am interested in tampa Florida particularly florida hospital what their rate is and what their differentials are. I am hearing different things such as 33% working midnights but that is not always applied if you work midnights all the time which is confusing to me. I would just like as yourself accurate information. Housing cost of living is a little lower in Florida but again that depends on where you live. I've seen homes going for 500K but excellent school system, so that's where it gets tricky as far as pay I mean, that way a person can gauge where you can afford to live. Thank you for your response

Shift differentials
Ruby, yes I have looked into websites one in particular was glass door I beleive, but it doesn't mention shift differentials, just mentions base pay, and I am not even sure how accurate they are, that's why I am seeking information from actual residents (nurses) who work for a more accurate picture. Thank you for your response

Shift differentials
Hello fellow nurses! I would like some input on Florida Hospital in tampa and other surrounding hospitals as far as hourly pay rate and night shift differentials. Currently working in the Midwest, I have been told Florida does not pay well, but then I have been told that they do. I would appreciate any input on florida nurses, either in tampa area or orlando area and what the difference in pay is. I am an L&D nurse as well if that helps with anything. Thank you all in advance😊😊😊

Orlando or tampa nursing
Bebbercorn, Thank you for your response! I do have a question though, what of Orlando did you not like? I am very much interested in your opinion as I would love Orlando, but I have only visited the city as a tourist not a resident. Is there a big difference in nursing pay between the two cities?

Orlando or tampa nursing
Hello Nurses of Orlando and Tampa, I am a nurse of 6 months living in Indiana. We're moving down to Florida. We're still contemplating which city to live in, I have 5 kids so that will play factor in our decision. My question to you all is, what is the difference in pay scale between the two cities, if there is one? Also which hospitals do you all recommend for employment? Any advice is appreciated!! Sincerely
