  1. Well I sent everything in for my Ohio license by endorsement on August 24, 2015. I called several times and emailed and wasn't able to get through to anyone or get responses. Then I called the number 614-466-3947 option 4 then 2 and actually got to speak with someone! She was able to transfer me to someone in the division, I left a voicemail and she called me back 2 days later. 3 days after speaking with her my license showed up as active on the website!!!! It was official October 30, 2015. Keep trying everyone, and call that number. I am sooo grateful for the person above that posted it. Good luck everyone!
  2. Hello everyone. I am also in the same boat. I am trying to get Ohio RN licensure by endorsement from NY and originally submitted by application, CEs, background check and paperwork to NYS on August 24th, 2015 I am still waiting. On the Ohio BON website it shows everything is completed except for the education verification and license verification from NY and my application status is showing incomplete. I called NY BON and I was actually able to speak with a person right away, and she assured me the info had been submitted to Ohio BON on September 10th, 2015 and my check was cashed from then around the same time. I have been trying to get in touch with Ohio BON for over a month to find out what is going on both through email and phone call and am never able to speak with anyone or get a response to my emails. Today I found this thread and tried the options suggested and was able to leave another message for someone that will hopefully be able to help. It has been a very long and frustrating process, but hopefully will be coming to a resolution soon since I have been working on this for 2 months now. Wishing every else luck with this and I will also be following along to see how long it is taking, even for the temporary licenses to come through. I just want to be able to work :)
  3. I am going to be moving to Columbus, OH so there are a lot of different options of places to work. I really want to work at Riverside though, we have already looked at places to live around there and love the area! I am just nervous because I was a December grad and started applying in October, got a job in November and couldn't start working till February when I took my boards. I don't want to have the positions filled by new grads before I even apply, but I wasn't sure if October is too soon for someone that is already licensed and they would just have to hold the position for me until we moved. Thank you for responding and hope to hear from you again :)
  4. I am going to be relocating and applying for the second nursing job of my career. Just looking for some advice on how soon I should apply if we are planning to move in February 2016. Not sure how long the application and hiring process takes for someone that has 1 year of experience, since I have only applied as a new grad. Any advice is welcome, thank you!
  5. Thank you so much for your feedback! Reading some of the older threads on here is a little nerve racking because they say there are no new grad positions available. Most of them are at least a couple of years old and I will have over a year of experience, so hoping that will help. Thanks again :) I'm looking forward to researching some of these hospitals!
  6. I am currently working as a Registered Nurse on an Acute Stroke unit. This is my first RN job and I will have about 1.5 years experience when we relocate. I am looking to move to Columbus, OH and I know there are several of hospitals in that area. Really enjoying Neuro and would like to move on to Emergency or Critical Care some time in the next few years. Just looking for advice on the different hospitals as well as what kinds of challenges I may be up for having little experience. Not sure what the job market is like at this time in that area or what the pay and benefits would be like. I am specifically interested in the OhioHealth system since they seem to have a lot of variety and options to explore as I develop my career. Excited about this new journey and any information or advice is appreciated!
