  1. Hi all! My girlfriend and I are highly considering moving to the Raleigh-Durham area from the Philly suburbs in early 2016, and are looking to buy a new-build in the Oak Grove/Gorman area. I will be graduating with my associates degree this December, and I'm planning to apply for the new grad internship at duke Sept. 1st. My girlfriend (BSN) has 4 years tele, OR, and otrtho experience so it will be easy for her to get a job but how about me? If the new grad gig falls through, is it easy to find work somewhere else in the area? Like a nursing home, urgent care, or doctors office? What are the options, and what's the area like when it comes to nursing? We absolutely love triangle area, and are about to move no matter what. It's a totally different atmosphere compared to Philly, but I feel like its the same when it comes to a high influx of new nurses, and not enough work. Thanks!
  2. Hi all, My girlfriend and I are looking to move to the Fort Myers area within the next year or two and are looking at working within the Lee Memorial network. I will be a new grad in December, she has 4 years floor experience making roughly $30 an hour, and that is where we would like to be money wise, but we might be out of luck. I want honest opinions. Are jobs easy to come by? What's the pay like? What are the working conditions like? Ratios? Thanks!
