When you say "apply to CA BRN" do you mean this site:Board of Registered Nursing - Applicants. and utilizing this pdf (http://www.rn.ca.gov/pdfs/applicants/exam-app.pdf). I was also thinking of calling them and telling them my mom's situation and get assistance that way but if the sites above are correct, I'll start compiling the requirements for her instead.   2. Hi, My mom has been working as an LVN in Los Angeles California for at least 10 years mostly private care for para/quadriplegic patients. She was an RN in Philippines but neglected to challenge the board when she came here to become an RN. She now wants to know what courses, units, and other requirements she needs to fulfill in order to take the exam to become an RN. We would appreciate any resources that could provide guidance. Tara,
