  1. Thank you so much and congratulations to you getting in as well! It's so funny because I read the exact same threads. I have been hunting on this website for every single thing I've been worrying about haha! Your response clarified a lot for me, I really appreciate it. I will have to take out a loan I just didn't want to take out too much or too little but If I take out too much I will send the rest right back to them. You gave me a better estimate than what I was thinking. Hope to see you at orientation July 9th!
  2. Hello everyone! I am new to this site and so glad that I found it! I just got accepted into the BMCC (Borough Of Manhattan Community College) nights/weekend nursing program for the Fall 2015 (yay! ). Throughout the time I was taking my pre-reqs there were so many discouraging students that I almost gave up on trying. BUT thankfully I didn't. Everyone telling me that I had to have at least a 3.9 GPA was BS! My GPA is 3.5 and I got an overall average of 85.33% on my HESI exam . Please, do not let anyone discourage you and focus on yourself! On another note, I was wondering if any of you who have had experience with this program know an estimate on cost. I was a bit surprised that the acceptance package says the overall total for just the uniform and text books would be about $1,000, yikes. If you can tell me about how much I will need to get started in my first semester? Including uniform, all textbooks (including the ones I need to read before the semester begins), and tuition. I have to take out a loan ASAP (stupid financial aid thinks I'm rich apparently ). Thank you in advance!
