  1. You don't need to declare a major, or you declare whatever major you want. It really depends on the school and what they want you to do. You'd be better off checking at whatever schools you're looking at to find out what their program is like.
  2. So, I've been applying to positions as a PCT in local hospitals, and I haven't had any luck. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for what to include on my cover letter, or put in my resume. I can't get an appointment at my university's career center for another week or so, or I'd be asking them. Any help would be appreciated at this point.
  3. If the lab is in person, you should be able to petition the class to count if they don't normally take online classes. Granted, every school is different, but mine took some online classes when they claim not to.
  4. Victor's 2017, fresh out of my first full year. Got my butt kicked in so many ways in the Fall, but I think I've learned my lesson. I also managed to use bandage scissors more than people told me I would.
  5. It has massive potential to backfire. I'd suggest not dating someone in your cohort unless you feel like taking that risk.
  6. Your clinical instructor should clearly lay out what is and isn't within your scope of practice as a student nurse. If they haven't, then ask. If your nurse asks you to do something that you can't, then you need to tell them that. No point risking your education over it. And you're always free to watch, if the patient is comfortable having a student watching it done.
