Hi, First time posting on here ever, long time lurker. While my path is not set in stone I do want to become a nurse. I graduated from a four year college with a degree in Psychology. My gpa was less than stellar at 2.75, I was someone who didn't know and didn't care about what they wanted to do. So I partied through most of college and just got by. Also had a bilateral dvt during my junior year and missed two semesters. Was in the hospital for a month, so that also through me for a spin during my college years. It wasn't until my senior year that it all clicked. I had a 3.7 for my final two semesters. I always kind of wanted to be a nurse, but for some reason I ignored that. It wasn't until my senior year and the summer following graduation that I finally gave into what I feel I was meant for. I am in the middle of getting my pre reqs for my RN license at an accredited community college. I then want to get my BSN to go along with my BS. Then I am not so sure to be honest. Like I said my path is not set in stone at this point. I have really like the idea of being a nurse anesthetist. What can I do to be competitive if I still can? I already have that less than stellar undergrad GPA. I am willing to do whatever it takes, if I still can. I am in no rush, and I realize it could be awhile before I am competitive for CRNA school. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance :)
