  1. Thanks for the help! How long is this classroom- based training program? And how often do you offer this course? I am developing a preceptor program for my small community based hospital and am not sure where to start. Did you ever consider doing an online education program instead? Also what is this "invitiation only" CE & networking session you refer to? In all my research I have not seen this. Is this outside the hosptial? Really appreciate the feedback.
  2. I am working on developing a nurse preceptor program at my hospital for critical care nurses. I am wondering if anyone has any input on this subject or if anyone has gone through preceptor training? I am wondering if preceptor training is usually all online or if its a hospital-based program. Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks
  3. Hi, I just started a new position at my small rural hospital to try to improve our nursing orientation process. I was wondering what everyone's nursing orientation process is like and if they have any suggestions? For example- how long is the process? are you on the unit the whole time, do you do lecture? one preceptor? is there any formal preceptor training at your facility? is the orienation paper work all online? does your facility provide you with any study material? ect. Any help would be great! Thanks
