  1. Good luck to you =)
  2. For the third semester, we have clinicals on Mondays and full day lecture on Tuesdays.
  3. Hello, I am almost done with second semester. Schedule on the first semester depends on how many classes you are taking. I never took nutrition and pharmacology test so I took four classes, which was a good review and I actually learned new things. So here is my schedule so far. First Semester: Tuesdays (Nutrition from 9-11 am & Pharmacology from 11:15 am to 1:15 pm) Thursdays (Professional Concepts of Nursing 8am - 11 pm and Health Assessment from 12am-6 pm) Second Semester: Clinicals - Group A Mondays 6:30 am -6:30 am & Group B Fridays 6:30 am -6:30 am) this might change. Wednesdays (Pathophysiology 9am-12pm and Med-Surg 1pm-6pm)
  4. If you live near Monrovia then you get a higher chance getting in there than IE campus. Our classes will start next week and I'll be working only once a week.
  5. I hope you get in this January :) there is always hope. APU accepts more people now every semester because they just opened inland empire campus.
  6. Definitely know your vital ranges. It was basic med pass. Written test had basic pharmacology questions. You got this! Good luck!
  7. We got in pairs. While you do the skills the others go to the next room to do the written test.
  8. Hi, I also got in to the program Fall 2017 cohort in Monrovia campus. Did you take nutrition/pharm test?
  9. Thank you! Honestly, it was really easy. Both skills test and written test. Basic information that LVN knows. It's true what they said, stick to the study guide.
  10. Took my competency test this morning and I passed!!!
  11. I'm using the POTTER & PERRY's Fundamentals of Nursing Eighth Edition. OMG the definitions in the study guide is exactly the same in this book.
  12. My classmate from LVN program went to APU today and met with a nursing counselor. She said now that the program is only 20 months, most students find it hard to work so they will revert back to being 24 month long program two semesters from now. That way students can work while in school.
  13. I'm studying for the Competency Test, which is taking in three days. I'm super nervous!!!!
  14. Thank you :) I'm glad the your interview went well.
  15. Got a call from Mike and Sharon, both confirmed that this is for Fall 2017 cohort and I will be at the Monrovia campus when I pass the test. I think that's the reason why we have different Competency Test and orientation dates.
  16. Hello, I received a letter yesterday which says "Congratulations on your acceptance to Azusa Pacific University. Your application to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing LVN-BSN Program has been approved for Regular Admission Standing for the Fall 2017 Term." It didn't mention Inland Empire campus but does this mean I got in to the Fall 2017 cohort? Also, I got an email few days ago that my APU online account has been updated to a student and it says that my Major is LVN-BSN. I'm a bit confused because I still have to take my Competency Test on July 31. I will call Mike and Shanon tomorrow to clarify this.
  17. Hello, how was the last interview? I got an email from the program manager earlier today. I'm scheduled for the competency exam on july 31.
  18. I was also disappointed when I found out that fall semester is already full. Same as most people, I didn't want any delays but in the end I always see the positive side on things. Thank you and I wish you the same as well. í ½í¸Š
  19. Hi KikkaBugg, I had my interview two days ago and I think it went really well. The program manager told me they will be having an upcoming admission meeting but never told me when I will be hearing from them. However, I asked her straight up if fall semester is full and she confirmed that it is. Apparently, applicants that weren't able to get in for May cohort got prioritized. Will let you know for any updates.
  20. Hi bmarie23, it's now the last week of May. Have you heard anything from them?
  21. Hi yasira23, I applied for Fall cohort 2017 as well but I haven't heard anything from them. When did you submitted you application if you don't mind me asking?
  22. Hello, I submitted my application for Fall cohort this year. My APU representative told me that Nursing Department will not start the review process of the applicants until May cohort starts. It's already the middle of May and still hasn't heard anything from them. I'm just wondering if any of you are in the situation as I am?
  23. Hi, I just recently graduated from my LVN program here in California. I'm really intrested in Wound Care Certification. My questions is, do I need to pass Nclex first and be a certified LVN in order for me to be qualified to get the Wound Care Certification? Thanks.
