  1. Thanks NedRN, I appreciate the feedback. I'm curious, when you contract with hospitals, do you have to tell them your specialty? I ask because I received a call from a GYN unit manager, but I have absolutely no experience in GYN. In the future, I will just state RN available for Med Surg positions. I am not looking to hire any staff until after my little one is born.
  2. Yes NedRN, I've set up all those things. My focus now is the marketing my agency. At this point I'm trying things out to see what is most effective. Thanks for your help.
  3. What type of lawyer would I need to write up a contract for my staffing agency? thanks
  4. Do you mind shedding some light on how you marketed your staffing agency? I am in Ohio and I've started cold calling SNF that have ads looking to hire RNs. Today I plan to call more. thanks
  5. NedRN- My services will be an RN filling open shifts at SNF. Yes I have responded to postcards. JuliaRNMSN- I am not much of a marketer either. I have been giving myself a crash course in marketing. Yesterday I started calling SNF that have ads out for RN staff. I printed the numbers and addresses off of Medicare.gov for SNF in different counties and will start calling those today. Thanks for your responses.
  6. Hi AllNurses, Forgive me if this has already been asked. If so, can you point me to the forum? When marketing nursing services to facilities, I could market to the ones that are currently hiring? Are current independent nurses marketing with mailing postcards or resumes? I'm afraid if I just send my resume, they will assume I am applying to be an employee. Is it best to contact the DON first? thanks
