  1. Wellp I was supposed to retake ENGL to boost my score for the application HOWEVER since I listened to my advisor and did ALL prereqs for the ADN and BSN program I went over my hours for financial aid and they refused to let me use my scholarships until I filed for an appeal...which isn't open until the 15th of this month for the fall. So NOW i'm either stuck at 6.29 or retake my HESI and pray for a miracle high score. -.- Either way, I don't feel like I have much options or hope at this point. 7.0 and up were accepted and I will be far down the list for alternates. Though I did see SOMEONE last spring application period applied with a 6.19 and was accepted. o.o
  2. Mine is 6.28 right now, I have a B in English from years ago and b in AP PLUS an 82 on my Hesi (contractions and tests don't mix). When I retake my English It will put me at 6.8 and then if I retake HESI it's only up from there (or lower if it's a bad day lol). Goal is to get it above 7 for acceptance for Cyfair.
  3. Once I retake my English my score will be over 6.8 so I'll feel better then
  4. @leslie they ask all over the place questions so unfortunately I can't direct you to just one set.
  5. No idea, I need to start getting those done. I don't know if I can since I'm pregnant? oi.
  6. I decided to retake English in a minimester online. I've gotten an A in every other English class so hopefully I do the same in this one -.-
  7. You're fine! I'm a whole point under you lol. If I retake the Hesi I have to get 100 to even get a 7. I'm debating on whether or not to even hurry and do a minimester of English before application is due. I just don't know if it's feasible for me right now. I'm just so worried that I WON'T get in. But I'm still not seeing much activity on here at all and last spring application period it was already booming from May to October. I know they accept 50 at cyfair and splits it 50/50 for day and night. No idea about kingwood. I just want a spot I was working towards my prereqs for a year and half before they switched the application scoring.
  8. It seems though Fall gets a TON more applicants than spring for some reason. I'm sitting at 6.28 if I stay with my HESI, I probably won't and I'm scheduled for retest Aug 4. I need to get close to a perfect score to even compete with anyone. As long as there isn't 100+ applicants I'll be good!
  9. The Hesi is not bad, if anything it seems way too easy which in turn makes you rush. Think 8th grade math and 8th grade reading. I did better than AP than reading comprehension because it was just so random what they were asking. But hey, you've already taken it right? How'd you do? And I have 2 B's, my English is from 2009 when I was first dabbling in college and didn't take it seriously and AP I have a B as well. Shame they won't look at my 1302 or sophomore English both of which are A's. Lol! I wish some people would get on here and talk so I have an estimate of how many people are applying they usually do every application period. It seems as thought not many apply for Spring as they do for Fall which is crazy cause we have a longer preparatory period. Anyway, hope to hear back! Sorry took so long to reply, I've been crazy nesting since I hit 28 weeks pregnant lol!
  10. Well you have a much better point average than myself. My I had beenworking on the prereqs for 2 years when they switched the scale so 2 years gone. My ENGL and AP were both B average so in order to even get on a competitive scale with everyone, I'd have to ace the HESI which is seeming to be difficult. Right now I believe I'm at 6.28 so at best I'll be an alternate. :/
  11. I've already taken the HESI, and so far I"m 6.28 on the scale. I'm debating retaking it.
  12. Hey everyone! I just took my HESI and have been back and forth trying to figure out what the better score is for acceptance. Their new scoring system has me all messed up. On their old scoring sheet, I had a 3, 4, and 3.28 so 10.28 out of 12 which was a good score! Now I'm ranking a 3 and 3.28 leaving me with a 6.28 out of 8 which I'm not feeling comfortable with. I'd love to get into Cyfair but I know they're harder to get into. I feel as though if I did redo my HESI there is always a chance I could score lower and then I'd really be in trouble. Is anyone else applying or have anymore in info? I stalked the last round of ADN students let in and It seemed if you were 7.0 and up you were accepted, but 6.3-7 were alternates.

The only PREREQ I have left for the ADN and BSN is Micro, I've literally taken everything under the sun needed in order to have my ADN and BSN finished in 2 1/2 years.
