You go into Nursing CAS and then do Add Program and bring up the Samuel Merritt ABSN programs. You will then see the programs and their locations and deadlines. I haven't heard anything yet.

It's for the supposed November San Mateo program, which had an original deadline of March 1, and then a deadline of April 1, and now has a deadline of July 1?! You can see when you click on it to add it to your programs . . . at least that is how I saw it after she told me to check it!

A girl in one of my prereqs told me the San Mateo and Sacramento Fall programs are now showing July 1 application deadlines on Nursing CAS and she heard from friends in the current program there could be problems. I did check Nursing CAS and she is correct!

No, I'm sorry, but I'd say there is a slim to none chance those would be accepted for that requirement. This is California and the BON gets exactly what they want because there is no shortage of those who have fulfilled the exact requirements and make it easy for them.

Anyone have any updates on when we might hear?! What do you guys think is the reason for the delay?

Anne's answer seems really strange! You'd think she would have at least given a month or something, like June or July, or even August . . . Someone said the program is on one of the SMU calendars to start Monday, October 31.

Haven't heard anything! I did see that last year they had already been notified by now though! I'm sure they have more than enough applicants, the information session I attended was packed full of people.

Do you know when they are supposed to email decisions?

My TEAS report also says ADN and I took it at a PSI testing center in the East Bay! I want to retake it and resubmit scores to SMU even though the application was due on March 1. They said we should expect a decision around July for San Mateo ABSN. When do you think is the latest I could retake it and have my scores be considered with this application? Does this make sense?!

Have any of you asked about their pass rate on the NCLEX? It is a bit worrisome to think about spending so much money on a program with such a low pass rate!
