  1. Hi there, I am currently working at an endoscopy clinic and am the only RN working with 5 RPNs. My boss discussed with wanting me to take ACLS to be that much more prepared in case of an emergency situation, especially if he is not around. I am taking the 2-day course on Thurs-Fri and have been studying the core ECG rhythms. I am also taking Coronary Care I course but am only a month in so far. Just wondering if there are any tips and tricks for remembering what to do with each rhythm or how anyone else studied. I have not previously learned ECG rhythms and haven't worked in med-surg since being a student in 2014. Thanks in advance! (I am currently reading the ACLS manual from H&S)
  2. I agree that it depends on your work ethic. I graduated last year after 4 years of an RN program and I worked part time during the school year (Weekends and a couple weeknights if I could) and full time during the summer. I had no summers due to work because I wanted to pay for school myslef and get out debt-free. However, during last year when I did clinical placements fulltime, I couldn't handle working on the side so I took a leave. It is realistic if you plan to work hard but however many hours of school you attend, you almost have to do that many hours studying too! All the best!
  3. Hi loriangel14 Do you know if it is recognized by ORNAO? Thanks
  4. Hi all! I was wondering if anyone knew of any recognized perioperative nursing programs. I saw that Centennials is but does anyone know if there are any others? I'm a recent grad and have been working on a dementia outreach program but am looking to take a course in September because that is what I have always wanted to do Thanks!
