  1. I have an assignment for my Public Health Nursing class in which I am to interview a nurse who cares for a selected vulnerable population (veterans). There are no facilities near me that are strictly for veterans, so I was hoping to find someone here that could answer the questions: What about your job is most fulfilling? What are the hardest parts of your job? What qualities/traits should a nurse possess to be able to work with this group effectively? If you have worked with other patient populations, what sets veterans apart from other population groups? If possible, having your first name & the name of your facility would be great! Thanks in advance!
  2. My care plan is on a 64 y/o with cellulitis around a wound on her right leg that has been sutured and is almost healed. She also has 2 incision sites on her back from surgery a week ago. Other info: overweight, c/o headache and discomfort around leg wound. I am just having trouble with diagnoses and putting them in order. So far I have come up with: 1- excess fluid volume r/t infection secondary to cellulitis aeb lower leg edema 2- impaired skin integrity r/t lower right leg injury impaired circulation, edema secondary to cellulitis aeb reported discomfort around leg injury site, disrupted skin surface (3 inches) on right leg, incision site over spine (5 inches) and incision site on left lower back (4 inches) 3- ineffective peripheral tissue perfusion r/t sedentary lifestyle, obesity secondary to bilateral lower extremity venous stasis disease aeb bilateral lower extremity pooling, bilateral lower extremity edema, bilateral lower extremity hair loss 4- acute pain r/t leg injury, headache aeb grimacing when changing positions, with increased lighting, or increased noise, and reported pain of 4/10 on scale of 0-10 Please let me know if you think this is the right order for these diagnoses. Or if you think I should change something about the wording of these. Thanks in advance!
