  1. Hello, I believe for the ADN the points ranged from 74-93 points to get in. The top 27* students that were chosen who scored in that range. They added 10 from the existing waiting list from the past = 35 students accepted overall.
  2. Hi Laura, Have you heard anything yet?
  3. oh geeze! Well yeah but I don't think we would get into this semester's program d/t the limit space. I believe it either be Spring 2017 or Fall 2017. Though that is just my prediction. Well I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to start at AVC Then transfer?
  4. Yeah I heard they may take till first week of June? What other schools are you sure that the LVN class start date or the ADN start date?
  5. Yes You too! I will Keep you updated if I hear anything. :)
  6. They said about a semester -1 year for me. So in other words if not this fall then Spring and if not spring next August Fall 2017* I don't know if I could wait that long. Well I'm applying to Moorepark in August as well as College of the canyons in Santa Clarita.
  7. Oh yea don't quit your job yet. For some reason I feel like for me it may take longer than January to get into VS20* especially if they don't have that yearly budget they receive to get more LVN's into the program. In meantime I would apply to more schools. Right know I'm waiting to Santa Barbara
  8. Yeah we applied the same application period. There are others that are already on the list which is 11* so that makes us further down to 12 -15 I Hope LOL. Well just keep praying and know that since we are on the list our spot is guaranteed and really just depends when!?
  9. Lol! I know I was just thinking about this over the weekend. Though I heard they make the selection by next week? Also I heard that for me because I don't have a # on the list that it may take till July* if I don't get selected for this semester. You may be further up the list so you may get into this semester?
  10. I know!! I've been praying and hopeful wishing someone drops! I forward the email to you :) Also were you from the waiting list of the 1 of the 4 add on this year?
  11. Hi Jessi23! That is awesome news Congratulations!! :) Are you in the generic ADN or LVN-RN?
  12. That's great!! :) I'm sure you are relieved and that is the hardest part! I see I think they let us know at the end of the month for the Advanced Placement. I hope to see you around if I get in :) Good luck to you!
  13. Wow!! Congratulations Raz89!! :) Did they mail a letter to you or email?
  14. Hello Bmmoore1, Oh Great! That is awesome and yes I hope to see you around if I get in as well! :)
  15. Don't be nervous! You will learn a lot and feel on top of the world with all the knowledge you will gain being a Nurse :) No Problem and Good Luck!
  16. Oh I see well I totally hear you I'm currently 100 miles south of Santa Barbara and yes It will be difficult to commute and do the nursing program at the same time. It really is a sacrifice being in the program and the fact you spend about 10% your time at home and 90% school/clinicals/studying elsewhere as I clearly remember being in the LVN program years ago. That's Great!! Good luck to you and your Nursing journey and I will tell you all the hard work will pay off :) Also Micro was one of my better subjects than Anat/Phys you will take a lot of interest in it! Well if you need any advices feel free to PM me :)
  17. Hi Thanks so much for that helpful suggestion and yes I have been looking in those areas as well :) Are you in the nursing program as well?
  18. Yes Just one point!! Oh I'm from the inland empire but live in Pasadena now:) kind of nervous if I get in about where I would live. Yeah, in the email there is an attachment shows all the ADN and LVN's who applied and how the score was broken down. If you want to see it I can Email it to you :)
  19. Yes, I hope so too I missed it by one point to get in So I'm assuming I'm first on the list and only 10 LVN's were accepted. Did the acceptance letter entail when you need to let them know if you accept or decline the spot in the program?
  20. Hi Anna! That is great Congratulations!! :) I saw the ADN Distribution point list and saw the competition! Wow!! :)
  21. Tell me about it! Yeah I hope they only accepted 10 in total and we still have to attend orientation. Yeah Ventura is great I wish it took less time to get in because of the waiting list. That is so true! Though they have a 8 week transition course before the two semesters start so 14 months* in total. Haha I know what you mean though I heard from two of my coworker that went to SB and Ventura college they said both schools are solid when it comes to passing the NCLEX. :) My coworker said Ventura is a tough school but she is glad she went there because of all the knowledge she retained.
  22. Thank you! :) well it's not for sure. I was one point away from the person who got in. So I'm praying someone drops out! It is 2 semesters, The start date is October 17, 2016 and graduate in December 2017. Well good luck to you I hope you get in where it's convenient for you :) I live out here in LA area so I will be relocating.
  23. Hello Everyone, I just got notified as an alternate for the ADN program (advance placement LVN-RN)* for Fall 2016 I wanted to start a forum see who has gotten accepted to the program :) Also state whether for ADN program or Advance Placement (LVN-RN) Hope To hear from you Future Nurses! :)
  24. Hi Lauramitr! It was okay I didn't do so well but I passed :) I talked to Karen Catrell at nursing dept. and she told me the same thing! :) Although, I am an alternate at the Santa Barbara program :) so if I don't get into SB then most likely I'm leaning on VC.
  25. Oh I see well I believe because all the TEAS testing ends the 29th of this month so that is why I believe it may take till May. Well Good Luck to the both of us I hope we get in the same time :) I will keep you updated in May if I hear anything!
